USA: City Brewery reloads Golden Leaf

The City Brewery unveiled June 20 a new beer called Golden Leaf, even if The Golden Leaf brand is around one-hundred 50 years old. This new beer is releas. It is an unfiltered wheat beer, one that could become a permanent part of the brewery's line, La Crosse WXOW communicated June 20.

Jon Reynolds, from City Brewery said: "The hope is that the brand sells so well that we actually get to the end of the sesquicentennial and the decision has to be made would be one, do we put it in a bottle package, and launch it as a true craft-style lager, or two, do we change the label to take the sesquicentennial off because that celebration is over."

The brewery produced five-thousand cases of the beer with a dollar from each benefiting the city's sesquicentennial committee. They'll also distribute the special-edition lager into local bars and serve it during Riverfest.
